How We Review Air Fryers

Our goal is simple: help you choose the right air fryer for your kitchen and cooking, not just point you at whatever is most popular. This page explains exactly how we reach our recommendations so you can judge how much to trust them.

We are transparent about testing vs research

We think it is important to be honest about the difference, so we label it clearly on every page:

We will never claim we “tested” an air fryer we have not physically used, and we will never invent test results, measurements, ratings or owner quotes.

What we evaluate

The criteria change depending on what the page is about, because the right air fryer for one person is not the right one for a family cooking two dishes at once. Depending on the guide, we weigh:

How we verify specifications

Product details — capacity, dimensions, wattage, temperature range, functions, materials, dishwasher-safe parts and warranty — are checked against manufacturer documentation wherever possible, not memory or guesswork. Safety and material claims (such as PFAS-free) are attributed to the manufacturer’s own current documentation rather than stated as absolute fact.

Keeping guides current

Air fryers get discontinued and replaced often. We review our buying guides for availability, successor models and important specification changes, and we update recommendations when needed while keeping the page focused on the same reader question. We only change the “Last updated” date when we have made a meaningful revision — never to fake freshness.
